چکیده

The electrocatalytic oxidation of small organic compounds such as methanol or formic acid has been the subject numerous investigations in last decades. motivation for these studies is often their use fuel so-called direct cells, promising alternatives to hydrogen-fueled proton exchange membrane cells. fundamental research spans from screening identify best performing catalyst materials detailed mechanistic reaction pathway. These are commonly performed at conditions quite different cell devices, where no liquid electrolyte will be present. We previously developed a gas diffusion electrode setup mimic “real-life” and study electrocatalysts oxygen reduction water splitting.
